OLBIKERDoes anyone know why USFA went under????
Just found out about it and was wondering why???They sure made some high quality SAs.

buckeyeshooterThe story on the SASS wire is the owner got tired of making the best single action on the market and decided to make a new 22 caliber thing.
The big problem with the company was always the wait time from order to delivery.

OLBIKERSounds like maybe the SA was too labor intensive and making a 22 that looks like a staple gun would be easier.Too bad.

Lar45Wow, what an ugly looking ( I don't even want to call it a Firearm). What is it's purpose?

Woodrow SGlad I got a bunch of them...even some in classy nickle with fancy wood grips...looks like they will be rising in value. Nobody does Nickle as nice as those USFA SA's I can tell you and the factory case hardened ones I have were done by Turnbull and are beautiful. What a shame.....Colt SA's don't even compare. I was wondering why I have not seen many on the market.

Steve Haygoodwell crap, always wanted one too
That is the way it goes with low volume producers; not enough people buy them for them to make it a going business, and then when they go under, everyone wants one.
The demand was always larger than the supply. Was never able to find much more than there basic models in stock.
That defies the laws of economics. If there was a demand, and the price allowed for a "profit", they would still be making them. What I saw was that no one was buying enough of them to sustain their business. People saying that they now "want one" is too little demand, too late.
