WhitworthYou are very welcome! I think it's a really slick solution!

Redhawk1Now if I could only get rid of the compensator on my PC model S&W 460 Mag, I would be happy.
The compensator on the PC S&W 460 is what hold the shroud on.
Whitworth, did you get the e-mail with the pic's of some of my handguns?

FWIW ~ S&W just advzd that the end cap for the XVR is no longer available and is considered obsolete.

WhitworthIf it is considered obsolete, does that mean they have a new and "beter" solution?

Nope ~ it doesn't. They do not plan on replacing it - period.
Kinda, sorta thinking of converting one of the brakes (s&w spells it wrong) to nullify its noise and effectiveness. Can't weld the ports as would always be concerned about launching a 'plug' down the firing line. Its 'chamber' is tapered of course. Thinking of talking w/JRH about machining a hardened sleeve to slide inside its chamber. We had briefly discussed just cutting it off but I like to keep options open ~ something that comes w/having to live w/too many regrets

WhitworthHave you talked to Jack Huntington yet? I would be curious as to what he has to say...... Keep us posted.

Yes ~ see above. It was his suggestion just to cuat the barrel back ~ and even remove/grind most of the under-barrel lug off. I don't want to go that far ~ yet. Should be getting a call to come pickup my 'stuff' soon, we'll talk then. I'm sensitive to his work schedule. Some days they work 'til 23:00
