The Alaska packs and frames are solid and strong. I used one on my first sheep hunt and the guide wanted it after packing out the Dall.

This is a bargain delux.

I think Joe Hendricks told my dad to buy those packs, said they were the greatest ever made. He said he could always tell when some cheechako was going to be a problem because they would show up with some private label pack and their faux fur leg warmers they bought at Barney's Sport Chalet?
