bwanamrmFree Elephant Hide scraps... u pay shipping - good guy post for Emory
Cleaning up my gun room today and ran across a box of tanned elephant hide scraps from two gun cases I had made. Not enough to make boots but one could do knife scabbards etc. from the bigger pieces. Dyed a blue gray. First "I'll take it" gets 'em. I'll let you know what shipping runs and I'll trust you to drop a check in the mail to cover after I send the package off...

I'll take it.

MJinesRussell, Emory will put that leather to good use. He makes some nice Damascus steel knives.

bwanamrmCome to think of it... I will be in the Woodlands for my grandson's first birthday this weekend. I could drop it off somewhere if that works...

Stopping by on the way could easily work as we're only a few minutes off 59 before you reach the 45 intersection on to the woodlands. Rest stop and cup of coffee, etc. PM pending...

bwanamrmWhat a fine fellow Emory is... we have a mutual friend in Victoria so we arranged for me to drop the leather off there and he would pick it up when he headed this way. This morning I get a call from Jamie that Emory had left a small gift for me. When I got there I was stunned to be presented a beautiful Damascus fixed blade hunting knife with sheath. World class work... what a nice gesture for something I expected nothing for except to be put to good use. Thank you for your generosity Emory, the knife will travel with me to Tanzania in September!

Sabretooth Here is a picture of the three knives he did for me. The handles were cut from Elk antler, one that I shot back in 2017. Check out the leather sheathes...
