Hi folks. I just stuck my toe in the mud and bought an ar. I am looking at putting a vortex crossfire II on it. Whats your thoughts?

It depends on the AR. By that I mean the build and its purpose.

A long-barreled HBAR flattop might want a Leupold 4.5-14x50mm on it.

An M4 would do well with a US Optics 1-6x24mm or 1-8x24mm 2 MOA illuminated reticle or an ACOG on it.

A .300 Blackout might rightly cry out for a SIG Bravo 5 illuminated reticle on it.

And on and on . . .

I have a Leupold 1x4.5 Service Rifle scope with the firedot.
