Favorite small volume powder measure?

I'm really happy with my OLD Redding powder thrower for rifle loading, but on those small volume pistol loads it just doesn't seem to hold but +-.5 grain. I know, probably close enough for plinking loads, but I thought I would invest in a small volume powder dispenser. I'm hoping to improve repeatability (and therefore velocity SD and spread on the target) as well as reduce the constand powder cutting with my favorite stick powders (like VN340). I laod batches of 200 or less, so a large resivoir is not particularly important.

RCBS has a fixed volume unit with like 28 different volume settings. Some others advertise small drums especially for pistol loading.

Anyone have favorites to share...or models to definately avoid? I'm not looking for the cheapest available necessarily, but want to keep it reasonablely priced for my 1000-2000 rounds a year or so loading rate.

I have a Lyman Accumeasure and love it sadly Lyman has discontinued this measure.

It's a fantastically well made unit.No adjustment other than replacing drums means that once you have the right drum in it it's impossible to screw it up.

the RCBS "Little Dandy" operates similarly
and I have one of those somewhere too...
but I prefer the lyman.

i also have a lyman accumeasure and like it. if a cavity doesn't drop the weight you want you could increase the size slightly to get what you want. i bought a ohaus duo-o-measure on ebay, it has 2 charge holes in the cylinder, one for pistol and one for rifle. it is very accurate with small charges of powder and that is the measure i now use. also found a herter's model 39 micro measure with a very small charge hole and piston in the cylinder that is also very accurate.

I take it that you are unaware that a "pistol" metering drum is available for your Redding. All you have to do is unscrew the lock screw on the side of the measure, drop the regular metering drum out, and replace it with the pistol model. It will drop up to about 20 grains, and its small diameter makes it extremely accurate for pistol-sized charges.

I figured that as old as my Redding is, that swapping to a small drum wasn't an option. I'll research that more.

After lokoing at the price of a Harrells measure, I think I need a raise! Nice, but verrry pricey.
