Hello: I have the Stoney Point device that measures from the bolt face to the lands. The cases are drilled and tapped to a size I can't quite figure out. I would like to tap my own cases so if any of you riflemen out there know the size of this thread I would be grateful to hear from you. Thanks and good shooting. Jim

5/16 X 36tpi. Stoney Point will sell you tap @ about $15.

Travers Tool will sell the tap for about eight bucks. BUT, I think they have a $40.00 minimum order.

Don't remember if MSC sells the tap or not.
