Multi Scale universal charge bar for MEC

I have ordered one of these for my MEC 9000 and have checked the instruction manual on line.

MultiScale recommends the zinc insert for lead shot but also supplies a couple of polymer? inserts for steel shot. They do say that the polymer inserts can be used for lead shot but will wear out quicker.

MEC charge bars have polymer inserts as standard.

Anyone have any experience or preference they can share with me.

I am struggling with a used one I got of bay. But I don't have the powder baffle.

Mine has the polymer insert, and i use it for lead.
