Re: 204 Ruger bullet seating problem
I have had that problem with other cases, like the 348 win,
3030 and 318 Bee ,and others. Even with a good chamfer it happens.
I use a Lee universal expander die to put a small
bell on the case mouth. That is a "very" small bell so as
not to over work the brass. It has worked for me. I
discovered it while loading Barnes XLC bullets and scraping
the coating off. Try it you will like it.

kolt45,
your bullet seating die may be adjusted improperly. Check to see if you seating die is adjusted so that it is not touching the shell holder when the press is at the top of the cycle. If it is adjust the die so that it is about 1/4 of an inch above the shellholder when it is at the top of the cycle. Hope this helps.

Hello,
I'm having problems seating 32gr hornady V-max bullets
into a once fired Hornady 204 Ruger brass. Case has been sized to an unfired factory case dims. I use RCBS FL sizer and RCBS seater dies. Bullet will not enter case without smashing the case neck into the shoulder and blugeing the shoulder. The bullet is .204" and the case mouth is .201" after sizing.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks
