Accurate 2200 Load Data Info

Recently acquired an 8 pound jug of Accurate 2200 for a price I just couldn't pass up. While I do have a .223 I don't shoot it much at all. What I do shoot a lot of is 308 Win, 9.3x62, 375 Ruger and 45/70.

The reloading manual I have, Lee Second Edition, does list load data for 308 and and 9.3 with Accurate 2230. The burn rate for 2200 is listed at .06937 and 2230 is listed immediately below it at .06570

Since the burn rate for 2200 is about 5% faster then 2230, thinking that maybe I could use 90% of the starting loads listed for 2230 and work up in .5gr increments.

Anybody that might have a copy of Quick Load that would be willing to run some numbers/load for 2200?

Bullets weights would be - 308 Win 150 and 165 and 9.3 would be 270 and 286.

Accurate has a reloading sheet that shows the 308 and 45/70. Nothing heaver in the 308 than 150, but here it is:

Wahoooooo! Thanks Larry. Even listed 458 Win Mag!!!

Would anyone be willing to run some info through Quick load to see if anything might be safe for 9.3x62 or 375 Ruger. Figuring the 375 Ruger might be "a bridge too far" with the sharp shoulder.

The 9.3 may have a fit - general shape is like a 30-30 on steroids.

.308
180gr. psp,Rem.39gr 2200,may be close to max.Fair grouping.

168gr.fmjbt. Great Western, 37gr. 2200, 1/2" grp. at 100.
I have a good bit of 2200 data on other cartridges if you are interested.

Long shot but, any info on 9.3x62 with 270 or 286 gr. or 375 Ruger with 270gr.?

Since I now see it can be used in 47-70 and 458 Win Mag, this jug might not last too long!

most of the listed loads specify precise powder weight. Don't deviate. it is excellent in .223 Rem/5.56x45mm NATO.

Don't use it in 30-06, .270 Win, or 9.3 x 62.

this stuff is overrun from big lot of powder produced in Czechoslovakia for 5.56x45mm NATO.
23.5-grains with 55-grain FMJBT is great for cranking out blasting ammunition.

Yes, that was true of the original lot, but the current AA2200 is made in U.S.A. I've used up an 8-pounder in both lots and found them very similar, if not identical. A great powder in all of the smaller .22 Centerfires, particularly .221 Fireball. Also works well in the .20 Vartarg.

The 458 data shows it almost kissing 2500 fps with a 400 gr bullet and less than 47k psi. With a 3.140 pal

Accurate 2200 is the best powder I've found for the 6.8 spc.

I've had very good results with the .223,22 PPC,.243,.270,.308,6.5X55,7x57 , 8 X 57 and many of my wildcats. 2200 seems to be a very versatile powder. I,ve gone through about 14 pounds of it.
