Has anyone tried this in a .300 win mag? A local gu told me he likes it with CCI primers. Thanks

PeterTry 71 grains of IMR 4350 with a 180 grain bullet. I did not spend a lot of time with this powder as I had better results with RL22 right away. But I suspect that it is a good powder with this round.

308SakoMany years back I had a load of 66 grains behind a Nosler 200 RN partition With Fed 215's in Winchester brass which shot as well as a 6PPC. Go figure.

woody7I've seen good results using IMR4831 and Fed215 primers using 180 grain bullets. I would assume that H4831SC or RL22 would both be worth a look.

DwightSome people really swear by the IMR 4350 for the 300 Win. It did not work great in my 300SAUM which is similar but the H4350EXT and CCI mag primers work well in my rifle. All of them are a little different.
Good Luck

RDubWell long ago when I shot a .300 Winni, with my rifle 72.0grs IMR4350 was the most accurate load with 180gr Hornady spirepoints.
There are more powders to choose from now, but there is nothing wrong with using IMR4350 with your .300
Why do they call it common sense, when it is so uncommon??
