Re: Nosler Accubonds
I have found that the 180gr accubonds produce groups double the size of my 180gr ballistic tips out of my 300 ultramags. They may be similarly constructed except for the bonded core, but they just don't shoot as well in my rifles.

Hi Wayne,

.375 H&H on a Winchester pre 64 1953 action and barrel, shoots all day long clovers at 100 Yards and beyond with 260 grain Accubonds .5 and better, extremely accurate.
Federal ammo not reload, just out of the box.

Success,
Roland

A couple Accubond results:

Kimber 8400 270 WSM, 3 shots 200yds....

Sako M-75 Stainless 300 RUM, 3 shots 200yds....

I've had excellent results with Accubonds in several other guns as well in 7 Dakota, 270 Winchester, 338 Win Mag, 300 WSM, 338 Lapua etc...... All have given sub 1 inch groups at 200yds. I've yet to find a gun that they wouldn't shoot well in.........DJ

My .338 WM will only print 1.25" groups with 200gr. BTs, but will put A-frames and Hornady round nose under an inch. heck it'll even print 1.25" groups with X bullets. Seems that some rifles just dont like some bullets. On the other hand, have someone try some from the same box in their rifle. If it doesn't shoot them either it could be from a bad lot.

Try shooting them at farther than 100 yds. The AccuBonds are quite long, it may take them a bit longer to "go to sleep" than the bullets you're comparing them to depending upon your rifle, twist, velocity, etc.

Test accuracy out where accuracy really matters. With both the 200 AccuBond and 240 SMK I get my best groups by far MOA-wise at 400 yds. Neither of them shoot as well as 180 round noses at 100 yds...but a 1/4" difference at 100 yds is absolutely meaningless in the real world. A difference of inches at 400 yds is not.
