IMI brass???
Is IMI brass supposed to be good brass? I have a chance to get a quantity of 7.62 x 39mm brass and was wondering if it is better than average such as Winny and Remy?

I have used it in both 9mm and 45 ACP and have had no problems. I don't know that I would say it's better but I think it's equal to any of the big name US companies.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Nothing wrong with it at all, I've reloaded rifle and pistol brass. I didn't know they did a 7.62x39 though.

I have about 500 rounds of IMI 7.62x39 mm brass now. It seems to be good brass. I don't know when this brass was made or if they still make it or not but at least they once did, LOL.

The 7.65x39 brass that I have used has worked as well as the others.
Fiocci(misspell) is also some good stuff.

Israeli Military Industries, ah yes. The only IMI I've used was in .223 and it was just fine.

Just so happens I got about 30 rounds of Fiocchi 7.62x39 brass in the bag with all the IMI brass. This is the first time I have seen any of the 7.62x39mm brass myself. I do have some IMI 45 acp brass I acquired back in the late 90's and it has been loaded numerous time without any problems.

IMI brass is also favored for loading for the M1A. It is tough.
