rnoviNeither Nosler nor Hodgdon list Varget as a powder for 150's...looks to be a bit fast.

Varget too fast for good results with heavier bullets in the 7mm magnums, 4350 and 4831 better alternatives to 7828.
IMR4064 and Varget are usually within a grain of each other when loading and Sierra list 52.4grs with a 150gr bullet for 2900fps MV in the 7mm Rem Mag (starting load of 47.0grs 4064 for 2700fps with 150gr bullet).

DaleMy 7mm Rem. Mag., in a Rem M700, shoots well with H-1000 and RL-22 powders. I have seen H-1000 in a couple of stores, but have not seen RL-22 in a long time.

cal30 1906The 7 mag like just about any slow powder.
My father and I started with H570 then when it couldn't be had we used H870 and Rl22 often and for the 139/140 grain usually 4350 or 4831.
My favorite was a 162 with Rl22.

StonecreekUsing Varget with this caliber/bullet can be done, but when maximum pressure is reached the velocity will be less than optimal. Also, the load will leave quite a bit of air space inside the case which typically results in less consistent velocities (and potentially accuracy.)
