Mine likes the IMR 4198 and 52grain bullets not the fastest but most accurate...H335,H322 and VV133,W748 all also work well....I use Rem 7 1/2 or CCI,Fed small rifle primers in standard or BR versions...all in prepped Rem brass.....check manuals or sites listed for exact load specs.good luck and good shooting!!

I have a .222, .223, and .222 Magnum, all in virtually identical rifles (Sako).

The difference between the case capacity of the .222M and the .223 is very little. If you start with .223 loads, you can work up a suitable .222M load very quickly. You can start with the mid- to upper-level .223 loads and go from there.

In my experience, don't expect to exceed .223 velocities substantially -- maybe 50 fps for a given bullet weight, if that much. Remember, however, many manuals use a 20" barrel for .223 data, so your actual velocity improvement may also reflect a longer .222 Mag barrel.

Sll: Be sure and try this great Varminting load! My Sako custom 222 Remington Magnum with 24" barrel really likes it! Sierra 50 gr. Blitz in Remington cases using Federal 205M primers and 27.0 grs. of H4895.
Great accuracy and the 50 gr. Sierra Blitz is just a super bullet for Varminting! And its cheap!
