<Ricochet>Brass
Being new here I'm sure it has been covered but I will ask anyway. What would you guys concider to be the best brass to buy? Winchester, Federal, Remington, or Laupua.
Also what about nickel finish?

fredj338I've had good luck w/ all of the manuf. listed. Fed. match seem to be very conistant for me & I've heard great things about Lapua & Norma. I use whatever I can find for a given caliber & sort them by weight.

SaeedRicochet,
Welcome to the forum.
Of the ones you have listed, my choice would be Lapua, Federal, Winchester and Remington.
I have very little experience with nickle plated brass, but the ones I have tried did not last very long. The necks were cracking.

<reload>Normally I get 200 round of Winchester for hunting guns, Now if you are doing target or varmints than Lapua is the best for consistent brass that will last longer and will take more pressure. Nickle brass is great if you have more than one gun in one caliber, one with hot loads and the other with accurate loads so you can't mix loads accidently over the years. Good Luck

<Patrick_D>Lapua, without a doubt. Norma is also worth a look.

<gone hunting>laupua followed by norma is the best brass if your into real little groups, match chambers with tight necks.
sorted by weight with the flash holes deburred and primer pockets uniformed winchester or federal, especially federal gold medal works well for most factory chambers and barrels. nickel plated brass would be my choice if i hunted alaska or anywhere real cold.
