Esp. with 100 grain bullets and lighter. Thanks!!!

IMR4831 max listed in the Nosler manual under a 100gr Ballistic tip, seated .005 off the lands with Federal Large rifle match primer gives me, 5 shots into a half inch. Does a nice job on eastern whitetails. 100gr Partitions same way but about .75-80 accuracy.

I loaded w/ a few diff powders the other day. All pushing 100grn. Speer Hot Cores and MV around 3300 out of a 26" barrel.

1) I used 56 grns of H4831, 2) 56 grns of R22, and 3) 54 grns of R19.

The R19 grouped alittle better than the others so, I loaded up some more w/ R19 last night. I am playing w/ the seating depth to see the result in group size. This is my first try w/ Hot cores but, they seem to be descent bullets.

After firng the bullets through a piece of 1/2" Masonite at 100 yards and into a Iron Ore/dirt bank behind the plywood, I recovered a nicely mushroomed bullet w/ some lead still in the jacket. Probably about half of the bullet left.

In my Ruger 77 Mk I 25-06 it likes the 100gr Speer Hollow pt with 54.0gr of IMR 4831 in Win Cases & Fed 210 primers.

I tried the same loads with 100gr Nosler partitions/ Ballistic tips & it does not like them. It only likes the Speers so far.

My rifle also does not like loads worked up with AR 2213SC (your H4831SC) so next I will try Win WXR. IMR 4831 is getting hard to get in Australia.
