I think that was the point. FWIW I usually shoot a 130 gr 30 cal barnes or GS Custom in 308, 30-06, 300 WM and 300 Wby so I'm not trying to give any undo credit to the heavies. I shoot them in the 30-40 for nostalgia's sake and because they're reliable killers. I wouldn't take the 30-40 on a critical hunt because the range is so comparatively limited.
