What is the difference in Small Pistol primers and Small Rifle primers? I just got a great deal on a bunch of Small Pistol primers.

Thanks and God Bless, Louis

pistol primer cups are softer and thinner than rifle primers. this is so because the rifle usually has a much stronger firing pin force

i once got a large pistol mag primer mixed up and loaded it in my .260,, when i fired the gun it sounded funny. I thought it was my WLR primers. it was not, it was my WLPM. the firing pin pirced the primer. those new winchester blue boxes will fool you if you are not looking real good... a lesson to me
