Where to now?
I have tried 180gr SGK in my .300 win. The best group I shot was with 72 grs. I have recently purchased 200 gr bullets, Accubonds and Barnes Triple Shox. I have not loaded these yet but I will next weekend I'm home. All my loading thus far has been with RL 22. What would my next logical choice of powders be?Thanks

H4831 is a good choice in the 300WM too.

Thanks Guys. Does the .300win shoot the 200 gr bullets better than the 180's as a rule? The last bullets I bought were 200 grs haven't loaded any yet though.

Hey Chain

You asked about 180 or 200 gr bullets. Of course all guns have their own preferences but 2 of the last 300 win mags I have loaded for recently prefer the 180 TSX over the 200 gr TSX. Example I have a 300 Beretta Mato that I had worked up a load for using the 200 gr TSX and it was shooting about an inch, sometimes 3/4". Loaded up some 180's and the second load put 4 into the same hole. Will post the target, it is the second one from left, the shots on the bottom are from another gun that was shooting high

The first target on the left had one shot out but that was the fouling round from a clean rifle. RL22 works best for me with the 180's or 200's.

Gotta go, hurricane coming!
