300 Weatherby /165 gr bullet
Did well the last time with a question on 350 Rem Mag loads so I'll try again.

Anybody have anything on a 300 Wtb and 165 gr bullets?

Thanks Martin

In my experience with the 300 Weatherby, using bullets from 165 to 200 grains, IMR 7828 gives top velocity (3400 f.p.s with 165s, 3200+ with 180s, and 3000+ with 200s -- all those from a 24 in. barrel on a Remington 700), and RL 22 tends to give somewhat better accuracy with a sacrifice of a bit of velocity, maybe about 100 f.p.s. I have not tried RL 25. Use Weatherby or Remington brass and Federal 215 primers.
