wtman? this is a mind bender
While cleaning out an old garage, I came across some old bullets. The boxes are made of paper and are from Sierra. 30 cal .308 is what is on the box. But, they will NOT fit into the brass. When measured with my caliper they are NOT .308 but ARE .311
there are 200 of these bullets, 100 per box. they are 150 gr and 180 grain spitzers. Has Seirra changed over the yrs? I would think not. I dont think these are safe to load up and try to shoot giving they are .003 oversized. They may be collectables though i guess?

drm-hpWtman,
I believe you will find there for a
303 British. As I remember there grove dia.
runs .311"-.312". Therefor .311" bullets would
be a fit.

wtmanway cool guys. Thanks for the heads up. I just so happen to have a 303 british. Need to run get me some dies i guess for it now.
I just thought it strange because the boxes are old Sierra marked .308 180gr and they wouldnt go into the case of my 06 and 300 win mag. Thought someone had goofed or over the yrs someone threw no telling what in the box. But .311 is 303 aye.... Sort of makes me happier than i was lol.
