?Concerning Boat tails?
I am new to reloading and I heard from 2 people who reload and know alot about guns that shooting about 2000 rounds of boattails through a gun you might as well throw it out they said something about blowing the breech out or chamber or something is this true? Ive never heard of such a thing any information will be greatly appreciated.........

All the tests I have seen, and my personal experience, indicate that is just not true.

PS. I have shot SEVERAL thousand rounds of Federal 308, 168gr Match rounds through several different guns over the years.

Also SEVERAL thousand rounds of 223 with boattail bullets in various guns.

Sounds crazy to me... BTs are all I shoot and all I have for about 3 years... never had a problem... and I get my rifle checked by a Gunsmith once a year...

The term old wives is no longer politically correct. The current term is
"aging spousal units" . BTW, other than that, you are correct cheers
