I took some time today to do an inventory of my reloading supplies, brass, bullets, powders and primers.
What I found out was that I didn't have enough of a certain powder to reload all the bullets for that caliber that I had in my inventory. I'm heading to the "getting place" tomorrow to balance out the situation.
I was trying to see what I needed to balance out my components so that I wouldn't have a difference in the components that would prevent me from maxing out all the components at the same point, thus ending up with the greatest number of pops for the components.
You lads might want to take an inventory to see what you might be needing to max out.

seafire2I s5ocked up well this past fall.. and glad I did. I just stocked up since I had a little extra cash on hand, and instead of going out to buy another firearm I'd like to have, I spent it on powder and 22 caliber bullets instead...

fredj338I have way more bullets than primers, but I did buy some before Jan. so I think I can ride out this current shortage. Yeah, you always think you have enougfh until something like this comes around.

I probably have more bullets and brass than I'll ever manage to use in my lifetime. I'm well stocked with primers, and I have way more powder than I'd care to tell my local fire department...

tnekkccI helped a hunting buddy move.
Carrying all those boxes was some kind of insanity.
My basement flooded, and I had to move the reloading stuff up stairs.
Carrying all those boxes was some kind of insanity.
My 87 year old father still has:
12 ga shotgun and a few boxes of factory ammo
30-06 bolt action and a few boxes of factory ammo
22LR single shot rifle and a few boxes of factory ammo
And that was all I had too, until age 40, when I got old and ugly, and women stopped chasing me.
Then I started reloading and buying more and more guns and die sets.
What does it all mean?
It is not the supplies that need inventory, it is the compulsive behavior.
Why are we hoarding so much stuff?

Doc224/375Lets have a look shall we ?. Container of powders 1-8 lb. kegs of various assortments . Check
Sierra Hornady Nosler Berger Barnes and factory bulk Pallet of each . Check
Primers of all types half a container load . Check
I have more stuff than I'll be able to re load , because every year I appropriate funding from my
budget to purchase whether I need it or not . Unlike those on the hill
My accounts are paid in full and books are balanced . I accomplished this without a single cent
of Taxpayer's funding !!!!!!!!!.

I didn't think it was considered compulsive until it took more than one pickup load to move it.
