.22 Hornet Brass by Lapua??
Anyone know if Lapua will make .22 Hornet brass?

don't think so.
Rem Win and RWS, I thnk.
But not entirely sure on the RWS
I did get some RWS at a gun show, pricey bit I like it a lot.

I've never had the pleasure of encoutering Lapua .22 Hornet brass.

We shoot thousands of Hornets here in Europe annually and from our experience RWS is the best we've found. With the caveat though that it is very thick brass as getting copious amounts of Lil Gun, AA-1680 & VVN-110 into them can be trying - they shoot accurately at less than max velocities anyway.

#2 is Winchester, obviously with more volume since they accept the max loads of above mentioned powders easily.

I once made a similar remark to a Swedish forum member and quite carelessly promised to send him 100 used cases for a Youth project. Only afterwards I found out that most Hornet shooters here reload as well, it took me quite a couple of visits to the Schießstand to collect the cases and stand up to my promiss...

I've been known to ferret through Brass Bins; all that cherry, once-fired RWS .22 Hornet & .222 Remington cases - heaven!

And then there is Norma, RWS and GECO brass in 30/06 in apparently endless supply! I already have more than enough for two life times but just can't stop ferreting...

There is no Lapua-cases for .22 Hornet. I use Sako and Remington. sofa knife

Of the two brands commonly available in the U.S., Winchester has a bit thicker walls than the VERY light weight Remington. However, if you like nickeled brass, the nickel added to the R-P brass makes it pretty tough and long lasting. My recommendation would be in this order: R-P nickel, W-W, Frontier (Hornady, made by and apparently identical to W-W), with R-P regular brass bringing up the rear.

I size my Hornet brass with a Lee Collet die, so the nickel plating is not an issue.

Rem and Winchester are good enough for me, I use Rem for 17 squirrel and 17 ah cases.
