Round lead balls to slug a bore ?
Is there a kit in different diameters out there from anyone , that has a few of these balls instead of 100 of just one size ??I have acqired many guns over the years and some of them are pretty old , like my last one (1903 ,Winchester in 38-55 Win.)I`ll have to be sure about the real bore dia. before I can cast/ size my bullets , but buying hundreds of lead balls if you only need a handful seems pretty senseless to me!

I believe it was on Beartooth's website where I saw the articles about slugging and fire lapping.

Wherever it was, they recommended split-shot fishing weights. Because of the hollow channel, they didn't try and spring back to their original shape, and gave a truer measurement.

Around here, I would go to a fishing supply store, and I assume you have something equivalent over there?

I think you mean ether ege sinkers or bullet weight sinkers.
