LIP ON CASES
I am just starting out on the reloading road to hell,i have R C B S 30-06 competition dies and when i have carried out the first depriming/full length resizing action there is a small lip been formed at the top of the neck of the cartridge which then takes a fair amount of deburring to get rid of it,any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers Steve

Have you checked the length and trimmed?

Trim to length, then debur, then camfer.

I just recently bought some brass in .30-06, .243, and .30-30. Most of it isn't the proper length. It's all long enough, but about half the cases are too long, or the case mouth isn't square.

Brass prep is a pain in the wazoo, but it is critical to having safe, uniform, accurate ammunition.
