.338-300RUM LOADS
My new .338-300RUM Ruger #1 should be done shortly, so I was wondering what loads work for you in that caliber. Most likely I'll be using 225 Accubonds, but others might be considered.

Also who, besides RCBS, makes the dies? I'm not looking forward to a 6 week waiting period.

Thanks in advance,
Herb

You can order die blanks from Troy Newlon www.Newlonprecision.com and have your gunsmith use the chambering reamer (go with the SS blank, after reaming have it hardened to about Rc42 and if needed have the ID hard chromed to a thickness of .0015-.0020.).
You will need a size #5 blank

Tailgunner,

Thanks.I'll keep that in mind if I do a more exotic wildcat.
In this case it'll be more expedient to go with factory dies.

ANYONE WITH ANY LOADING INFO???

I guess I'm a masochist at heart as I'm already getting my punishment from my .375RUM Ruger #1.
Dies (read pricey) are coming from RCBS .

Still looking for load data.

Redding stocks 338-300 RUM dies, which a lot of people are calling the 338 Edge now.

I just got a set about 2 months ago, order direct.

You'll find some data here:
