load for 6.5x55

Hi guys, I am trying to find the sweet spot for my new rifle a tikka T3 lite 6.5x55 i'm useing vit n160 powder cci primmers and lapua brass any tips on heads? i've tried speer 120gr soft pionts and 129 sst's and 100gr nosler ballistic tips, i'll be using it on fallow deer ( if I ever get the time to get out!!!)

I've had my best luck with Sierras 140 and 142 grain bullets. I've also used IMR 4831 with the above with really good results. Mine were fired through original Swede barrels so may not work as well in more modern tubes.

I'm using Northfork 120 HP bullets and am very satisfied in all respects so far. IMR-4350 seems to work well too.

Hornady 140 grain SP interlock
seated at 2.99" overall length
Case trimmed to 2.16"

every load measured, I get 3/4" groups at 100 yards

Chronoed at c2600fps

in a Sako 75 Hunter - same as you effectively

I use almost the same load...
Lapua brass trimmed to min length (2.165")
46.5gr RE22 (every load measured)
140gr Hornady SP Interlock
Fed 210 Primer
OAL 2.95" with medium crimp in cannelure (via Lee Factory Crimp die)

Moderate load that is accurate and consistent in my CZ550 FS. Hammers whitetails.

RL-19, 47 grains I think. Don't trust my memory, it's failed even me once or twice.

I like 120 gr Nosler BT with H4350 in my Swedes for paper. The 129gr or 140 gr Hornady SP with R22 works very well on deer. So far I can`t tell the difference in performance on deer with either of these two bullets.
