Heavy .224 caliber bullets
Anyone know if they make any heavy roundnose bullets or flat points in .224" caliber?

I am putting together a .219 zipper and was thinking of using a fast twist bbl for the heavier bullets. I'd like to build it on a lever action thus the need for the blunt bullets.

Speer calls those 70 grain bullets "semi-spitzers." They'll work well in a 12" twist, generally.

The bullet that best fits what you describe would be the 70 gr round nose made by speer. I have used it out of a 22-250 with a 1/14" twist and it shot pretty well. Makes a pretty good deer bullet. The next best would be the sierra 63 gr smp, its not a true round nose but its less pointed than a true spitzer.
