acsteeleNeed a Garand safe load
I have plenty of 150gr soft point bullets, and H4895 powder on hand.
I may never take it hunting, but one never knows. I also have plenty of Lake City brass.
Thanks!

grizz007h4895>43.2-46.4grn. per Hornady Manual with their 150-55grnrs. This is from their M1 Garand section of reloading data.
I gave up on the lot of #34 primers and am using Fed. 210's, just make sure your seating them .001" or so more than flush. Them feds fire off every time, the lot of #34's I have are misfiring now and again-can't have that.

fredj338I've used 46gr under 147grFMJ in my Garand. Any of the powders in the burn range of 4895 work great in the Garand. Hornady's current manula has loads for M1A & M1s.

acsteeleThanks Guys! I had heard that IMR4895 or H4895 were well suited to the Garand. I would like to put together a hunting load.....just because. I had forgotten that Hornady had a section for Garands.
Thanks again!
