cggunnerWC852 powder for 147 - 150 gr 308 loads *DELETED*

It is probably too slow for your gas gun. I used to shoot a case full with 150 grain Nosler BT in a model 70. Shot striaght, never chronographed it. The 846 or 852(fast) would probably be ok as would surplus 4895. The 846 shot bughole accurate in a M-1A match rig.

Ku-dudeTo echo what Scot said, the 852 powder is too slow for the 150 grain bullet in the .308 Win particularly in a gas operated weapon.
It is similar to 4831, so it would be better choice for very heavy bullets in smaller capacity 308 caliber bolt rifles (308Win and 30-06) and heavy bullets in magnum capacity bolt rifles.
If you don't want to use it, trade it. There are those who swear by 852, and I still have part of an 8#keg I use on special occassions. Ku-dude

cggunnerThanks. I may just use it in my 243 w/100 grain bullets.
