im thinking about trying some 69 gr sierras in my ar 15 ive got a 1-9 24'' barrel.id like some choices for powder that will metter good. i use a redding metter dont no the modle. and also like to what you think of a-max's compared to the sierras. thanks alot jason

I use 24.5 grains of Varget. This isn't max, but happens to be the most accurate in my rifle.

I agree with Gary. Varget has given me the best groups with my AR's (three of them).

I used the 75 grain A-max last year at Camp Perry, they worked great out to 600 yrds. However, this was with a 1/8 twist barrel.

i've been thinking about the 75's also. does anyone load them to mag length? what charge, primer? how fast are the going, chronoed? i've got a 16" 1/7, are they gonna be creeping?
