HI
I live in an apartment, and, I need a way to setup a press, so I can pull it out, use it, and put it away, without the female of the group becoming territorial over the dining room table...

Any suggestions???

No place to mount properly, except, perhaps, outside, and then it would have to be able to fit into a giant plastic box, so the weather doesn't get it...

just get yourself a Blackndecker Workmate and use it to mount your press & stuff to, it'll fold up and fit under the bed or in a closet
then get some of those big plastic boxs that fit under the bed to hold all your reloading supplies and tools when their not mounted to the Workmate.
then all you have to do is get her to move enough shoes from under the bed to give you room for your reloading equipment

How about a lee loader. If you use it with a good scale it�ll load up some fine ammo. Depends on how much ammo you load and shoot.

I almost made a wise crack about the virtues of "mounting on the dining room table versus outside" but thought I better not...

Get one of the smaller presses, like a Lee Challenger or an RCBS Partner, mount it to a board or piece of plywood about 6" X 12". Then with one or two C clamps or woodworkers' clamps you can fasten it to any convenient table or shelf that provides an overhang for the clamps to get a grip.

I think there's something to be said for "mounting on the dining room table!!" (grin)
Seriously, the workmate is a great idea. I've got a press and case trimmer that will work for you. I was about to list it on Ebay. Send me an email if you're interested.

Call up Todd Kindler and order the Baltic wood press set up. You mount your press on it and it has a side rack for powder measure.I have the redding ultramag on it and it works perfect, I dont have to clamp it down. The woodchuck den is where to order it.

Midway USA also sells a mount that looks kind funky...its a pedastol deal. But I promise it works like a charm and you can order several working tops for it to mount lots of different presses etc. Had one set up in my Apartment when I was commuting between the farm and my job and it was stable and compact...I think I paid $30 for the thing...used it with a Rockchucker and a Dillon 550b.
