experiences with current Bertram Brass?
i was about to buy some Bertram 6.5x53R dutch mannlicher brass from buffalo last night when i thought i should do a search on it. i find a lot of bad rep to them, but a lot of it is 15 years old.

does anyone have current experience with current runs of bertram brass?

Let me put it this way.

The sort brass they produced a few years made me promise to never, ever, buy any Bertram brass again.

In my whole life, I have never come across any brass so badly made.

And from the experience of others, it just re-enforce my decision.

If Bertram is the only source, you buy Bertram.

My experience with early (1990s) Bertram brass was pretty awful, but I have had mostly decent luck with their brass in the last few years; calibers like .38-72, 500/450 No.1 BP Express and 12,7x44R Swedish. Expensive, but usable and with the right headstamp.

On the other hand, rimmed 256 is easily made from .303 British brass.

Yes,
Their quality control system is much improved.
It is better than Remington,
Winchester.
And some lots of Hornady

I always check Norma, RWS, Lapua, Atlas Development Group (ADG), Peterson.
