Need load info: Hornady .243 100gr RN in .243 Win
Any with the Hornady load book...

I'd like some load info on the .243 100gr RN for the .243 Win if you can share?

On hand I've got H4831 and IMR-4831 which appear to be good powders for the .243 Win... The book shows RL19 to perhaps be the most efficient of all as far as performance, so I can buy a pound of that if the Hornady manual shows info for RL19 too.

Thanks for any info you all might have or load suggestions.

The 100 gr RN is loaded the same as any Hornady 100 gr bullet.

Max IMR 4831 is 42.5
Max H 4831 is 45.5
Max RL19 is 44.0

Velocities are the same for all loads at 3,000'/sec

My Hornady #5 manual lists
IMR 4831 35.0 gr for 2500 fps and 42.5 gr for 3000 fps
H 4831 36.7 gr for 2500 fps and 45.5 dr for 3000 fps
RL-19 36.5 gr for 2500 fps and 44.0 gr for 3000 fps
Hornady lists the same powder charges for the Round nose ,SP and BTSP

Hope this helps you

For my 243's, RL-19 and H-4831 have been the most accurate powders for both 85 and 100 gr. bullets.
