MontanaNorma or Lapua brass
OK which one is better or best. Planning on using the 30-06 brass to go to 280AI. They both sell it norma has 100 at $63.99 and lapua has 100 at $46.95.
Big difference is it 30% better, also norma list the 270 at $76.99 what are they doing charging for necking it down. The 7x64 is $73.72 would it be better to use the 7x64 case for the 280AI and save the neck down step, from norma.
Which is the better case????
Thanks

Major CaliberWhat's wrong with Rem brass? For my 35 Whelen I just pickup 30-06 brass at the public range.

MrgunslingerFor the money and quality My pick would be
LAUPA!!!!!!!!!!
I have tried Norma and am not impressed to say the least.
Lapua is hard to beat.

TwoSixtyLapua...... I shoot both as well. The lapua is more consistant and will last longer..

KMuleinAKRecommend the Lapua over the Norma, use in 30-06, 338-06 and 35 Whelen AI - great brass at a great price - KMule

1894I would have thought the Norma would fire form easier being softer.
It is the softness of Norma that tends to make it unpopular with people.
LAPUA has better flash holes than Norma.

<Patrick_D>Buy LAPUA. I have tried Norma too, and it doesn't come close.

Norma makes 280 rem brass, look at Sinclair Int. or Huntington's
I have a friend who has a 280 Ack Imp and fire forms from Norma brass in one shoot. His cases last about 6-7 reloads without annealing. Lapua cases often has a few grains less volume than Norma.
If you like hard and fleshy brass get RWS
