I just wondered into the gun shop to pick up some Oregon Trail Lazer Cast bullets for my 45-70 in the 405 grain model and was floored by the price increase. This is probably old news here but..... what other products would you guys recommend that might be kinder to the funds????????

TEANCUM - have you ever tried or given any thought to casting your own? a lotta folks do it and it seems to be a pretty inexpensive enterprise.

i'm thinking of getting set up for it over the summer, assuming that i find the time!
