HornhunterEither the 180 gr. Sierra Spitzer BT or 180 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip give me good groups at ~3050 fps. This website has got me thinking I need to look at the Barnes TSX, but I haven't done it yet.

22WRFWhat do you mean by best "luck"? Accuracy? Killing power on different animals? Price? Etc?

phurley5I have been shooting the .300 Winny since 1973. For years my number one bullet was a 180 grain Nosler Partition at 3100 fps. I had no idea another bullet would come close, that is until I found the North Fork, now I can use them interchangably. 76-78 grains of RL-22 and a Fed 210M primer and my old Model 70 Winchester is a happy camper.

Good shooting.

GlacierBearI have shot a 300win mag for years . I have found that the 200 Gr. in a boat tail has given me the best aLL around Kills and long shot up to 1000 yards.
For all my big game guns, I us nothing but Nosler Partitions. For the 300 min mag I like the 180gr with WLRM and VV N160. Clean fast and very accurate.

AtkinsonI shoot the 180 and 200 gr. Noslers exclusively these days..I tried them all and my all time favorite is the 200 gr. Nosler in my long necked 300 H&H...The 180 is probably better in the short necked 300 Win. Magnum...that is what my son shoots and swears by them..I shot a lot of plainsgame with the 180s in his rifle and they worked to perfection on everything encluding the huge Eland.

CrobertsWhat is the sc is that short cut?
I don't have the most ample supply of powders where I live and have never seen it.
Is there any place to order powder and get around the $20 Hazardious shipping fee?

300winnie200 grain Accubond pushed along by a healthy dose of H1000. Gives me MOA accuracy at 3000 fps.
At the risk of incurring the wrath of all those guys with too much money, my favorite is the 180gr Hornady. $13/100 and wonderful performance on everything I've shot with it. Accuracy is very pleasing as well. I'm shoving it with H4831 at about 3100fps.
