boliepLoad for 30-06 using 200 grain partition
Does anyone have and will share their pet load for their 30-06 using Nosler Partition 200 grain bullet? Would like as much as you will supply including brass used, powder obviously, grains of that powder, OAL, etc.
I am more interested in accuracy than I am in getting the last bit of velocity out of the load.
Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times.
Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.
I use RL22 or MRP. .010 from the lands, Lapua brass. My loads vary among the four different rifles I shoot. You can get Norma data on their site. RL22 is in the nosler book 54 to 58 gr. compressed if you don't have a long throat.

Keith1I have never tried the Partition but in my rifle RL22 is super accurate with the 208 grain Amax bullet. The load is 58.5 grains of powder. I have been up a few grains more but accuracy falls off. The brass is Winchester.

my pet load and your pet load will be different. you will need to do your own testing to find the pet load your rifle likes. i use any of the 4350'S

boliepOK everyone. I am not a beginner and reloaded for well over 30 years. I know what works exactly in your rifle may not be the best load for mine.
My point, since it obviously must be stated plainly, is to find a powder and load that is working for others with the same projectile. Then I can base my loads off that. It will cut down the trial and error.
Thanks to those that understand my post and have been helpful.

bluefishit seemed obvious to me at least, boliep... good luck. and i'll watch because I have a nice lh Winchester 06 and i'd love to work up a 20 gr partition load for mine.
I am traveling and will respond in a couple of days. I just got back from Namibia and used 200 grain partitions. I know I used RL22 and RL19 but don't remember the exact charges. I will look them up when I get home.

AtkinsonMy best load with RL=22 is 58 to a max of 59 depending on which gun, but you get some compaction with RL-22..My hunting load is 58 grs.
Ive had a bit better accuracy and a tad more velocity and less compaction with H414 and RL-17 is showing some nice velocity and less compaction, its a nice powder in the 30-06, 9.3x62 as is RL-19, All of the above work quite well IMO..
Ive loaded up to 65,000 PSI to find max, with some of these powders, but my usual std. loads are in the 50 to 55,000 PSI, again depending on the gun..Ive satisfied myself that 2650 to 2700 FPS is about all I can get with a 200 gr. Nosler in a 26 inch barrel 30-06. but my 22 inch fwt. gets me an easy 2600 plus FPS to my surprise as it almost equals my 26 inch gun for whatever reason??? and its an incredibly accurate old gun that I like to pack around.

I am back. I used 56 grains of RL19 on my last trip with the 200 grain Partition. I have also used 57 grains of RL22 and 52 grains of RL17. They all shoot less than 1" groups with my rifle.

Colt CommanderThis is the load I use for a 20" Bbl. Ruger Guide Gun.
According to hodgdons load data the max. Load for a Sierra 200 gr. SP
Is 52.0 grs. at 49,100 CUP.
My load is,
200 grain Nosler Partition,
H414
CCI LRP
3.33" OAL
54.8 grains
2615 FPS 3035 FPE
This load in my rifle is identical with both the Nosler Partition
and the Sierra.
My rifle shows no pressure signs what so ever. And the brass has
been used multiple times. Remington.
Both bullets are sub MOA and the Nosler is actually the more accurate.

medvedi have a load that works in accuracy in 2 different rifles.
47.1 grain of Varget, brass winchestr, cci 200.
coal 3.271.5
works in a zastava 30-06 full stock with 20 inches barrel and a ruger hawkeye 22 inches lenght barrel.
i will measure with my doppler radar but accuracy is more important than speed ...

MARK H. YOUNGboliep,
I use the below loads in a 24" barreled Remington 700:
200 NP
59 GR RL-19
W-W CASES
FED 210 PRIMERS
3.45" OACL
200 NP
58 GR RL-22
FED CASES
FED 210 M PRIMERS
3.44 OACL
Both loads print about 3/4 inch for 3 shots but I've never chronographed either.
