RAMSHOT POWDERS
Whats all your expierance with ramshot powders? Are they a clean burning powder & accurate as well ? im looking to use it in a .223 savage.

Nothing wrong with ramshot.....it's all ball powders and I have no problem with that.....for the .223 however there's a plethora of Hodgdon and other powders available.....hard to beat the H-335 and BL(C)-2 or Varget or Win 748

I like the Ramshot Powders. They give me excellent accuracy and velocity. Try X-Terminator and Tac in the 223, you may find it an excellent choice.

I use Enforcer in my 41, 44, and 45 with good result. Not the cleanest, but not bad...

Great luck with Magnum, Hunter and Big Game. I've checked them in extreme cold and they are definitely temperature tolerant, no velocity loss. All have burned clean and given good accuracy. Good propellants!!!

Ramshot powders very good have friends that use them. But I use WC844 and WC846 surplus powders at about 60% of the cost and they shoot just as well.

In case anyone runs across this thread on a search for Ramshot TAC, Powder Valley has it for just $77.95 for an 8 lb. bottle plus hazmat and shipping. Their shipping is fast and very reasonable. Just a heads up for anyone loading a good ball powder in .223 and .308 and wants to lay in a good supply at a bargain price. Factory fresh, not surplus.

Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

I have tried Hunter in the .270 and .300 WSM and Magnum in the .300 Win Mag. In all cases, I exceeded the published velocities listed in the manual. I actually have to drop back a grain or 2 to come in line. Accuracy has been excellent across the board.
