Marty375 Weatherby crimping, loads.
I just bought a 375 Weatherby A2 Hannibal on Gunbroker. I have just wanted to play with an A2 for awhile.
Does anyone know if a 375 H&H Lee factory crimp die will work on these? The website suggests that most of the time, the dies will work on AI cartridges, so I'm hopeful.
Also, if anybody has any pet loads for this cartridge, I'd be grateful if you would share them with me.

BNagelI crimp mine with the Lee. I do it with loads selected to fill to base of bullet, to keep the bullet from moving forward due to recoil.
What weight bullet? RL-15 for 250-grainers and 4831's through 380-grain RHINO's.

StonecreekI find H4350 does well in my .375 AI, which should be virtually identical in case capacity to your .375 WBY. Haven't found the need of crimps, though.

MartyI'll probably go with 300 grain bullets, that's what I have been loading in my H&H.

BNagel300 grain RHINO "soft"/CCI 250/88 grains H4831SC/3.680" OAL/2540 fps/ Wby cases.
300 grain Barnes solid/GM215M/87 grains H4831SC/3.575" OAL/2550 fps/ Wby cases.
300 grain TBBC or Swift A-frame/CCI 250/88 grains IMR 4831/3.566" OAL/2660 fps/Bell or WW cases (fireformed H&H-->Wby).
300 grain Hornady RN/GM215M/85 grains H4831SC/3.560" OAL/WW or NORMA cases.
300 grain Barnes solid/Fed 215/84 grains IMR 4831/3.560" OAL/2650 fps/A-Square cases.
All loads crimped at cannelure or selected driving band with TSX. Uncrimped if no cannelure like longer ones eg. X-bullet, Scirocco, etc.
http://www.accuratereloading.com/375wby.htmlPM'd you more. Don't know what happened to RIP's data but included the link. Remington (H*H) cases were longest I found, to get the longest fire-formed and uniformly trimmed Wby cases but I can't get as many reloads out of their brass. A-Square was soft and absolutely off spec when shipped to me. Weatherby cases are, of course, far more expensive but the headstamp is neat.

Bob do you use the Lee 375 H&H Factory Crimp Die or did you have Lee make you a custom one?
