.270 WSM which primers?
Which primers do you use?

I've read some are using LR primers instead of mag primers for better consistency. Any truth to this???

Use whatever you like. You'll find insignificant difference.

It depends on which powder I'm using. The factory loads listed for Magpro use std primers and so I use them with Magpro. It DOES make a signifigant difference! If you use Magnum primers with these loads they are TOO HOT!

With RL-22 in my other 270 WSM's I use Federal GM215M's....................DJ

+1

FWIW,
I use standard primers for my 7mm Mag loads, and get some great accuracy from them. Haven't encountered any cold weather problems using them either.
When I first developed loads for my 7mm Mag, I only had Fed 210M's at the time, so I used them. They work, and I'll keep using them.

I have shot my two .270 WSM's extensively with nothing but Fed 210M primers with no complaints. Good shooting.

Ditto on the "use whatever you want". I tend to use magnum primers for large quantities of powder but not always. I do use magnum primers on 22-250s just because I had this illusion it was giving me another 15 feet per second but it wasn't true.
