.224 55gr Horniday SX
I shoot them out of a 223 Rem with 26 gr 846. Case head expansion is normal. They leave a trace. Like a white tracer, and it goes several hunderd yards. Accuracy is good and on target performance is quite satifying. Anyone seen this trace effect before?

308SakoYes, it's the disentigration of the bullet in flight. With a 1 in 14 twist it usually occurs at just over 3500 ft/sec's at 600 ft elev, and Standard temp and pressure. I assume, that's right ASSUME that it's the jacket failure because of rotational velocity effects. I have used these pills for more than 25 years with great satisfaction. They were the origin of the "match" bullet for me because I theorized that the thin jacket more readily adjusted to my specific bore diameter than a harder jacketed bullet might. Enjoy the show, and what twist/velocity are you using/getting?

I have not Chronographed them, maybe I will,

N E 450 No2scot, I have shot several thousand of these in my SAKO 223 at prairie dogs. My load was rather mild, but very accurate, 23.5gr. of IMR3031. I did not observe the white trace you speak about, but they are dyno-mite on varmints.
