<PaulS>My brother uses Winchester brass weighed and segregated to 167 +/- 1 grain. This way he has uniform brass to start with and can monitor the changes in internal dimensions with changes in weight.

<Big50>I've been thinking about trying the Lapua brass. Anyone know who has the best prices on Lapua brass and what an average weight of the cases are? Also what have you found the extreme spead in weight to be? The Win. brass I've been using is usually from 165.5 to about 168.5 with most around 166 to 167 range.
Thanks
Brent

R-WESTBig50 -
Midsouth lists the .308 Lapua brass at $33.25/100.
I've had pretty good luck with the Federal Gold Medal Match brass ($24.94/100 @ Midsouth). Weights vary only a few tenths (around 177 grain average, so the capacity is a little less than most other brands I've tried)and the brass is quite uniform.
Good luck,
