Someone know this bullets for pistol?
It was produce in France By Gevelot.
The unique concave (reverse) ogive of the THV bullet cleaves soft tissue as
it penetrates, and as these tissues flow across the ogive they accelerate
laterally and are energetically propelled radially outward off the bullet's
shoulder. This action produces a large diameter temporary cavity.
Now it there are not more on market and i would make again it in my
laboratory.
Someone have drawing of this bullet (with all dimension) in .45 .40 and 9
mm diameter?
thanx
Ps See pic ,THV bullet is on the right

packratLo-tech LSWC will do much the same to soft tissue. They cut large round holes!
Just a guess, but the "Devil" bullet probably won't be widely distributed if it penetrates body armor.

MartytWTrautman -
When I was living in Europe, I had several articles on this bullet. But alas, I disposed of them when I moved overseas.
Unfortunately, in the US, we may not be of much help, the following is from our Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms:
For purposes of the prohibitions imposed upon manufacture, importation, and transfer of armor piercing ammunition in 18 U.S.C. 922(a)(7)-(8) and 923(e), armor piercing ammunition includes the following:
KTW AMMUNITION, all calibers. Identified by a green coating on the projectile.
ARCANE AMMUNITION, all calibers. Identified by a pointed bronze or brass projectile.
THV AMMUNITION, all calibers. Identified by a brass or bronze projectile and a head stamp containing the letters SFM and THV.As you can see, other than perhaps in law enforcement and military circles, it will be hard to find in the US.
