Lee Case Trimmer 204 Ruger
Does anyone know where to get a Lee Case Trimmer for the 204 ruger. I looked on their web site and it is not listed. I notice the make custom trimmers but only in calibers larger than .22. Does anyone else make this style as I don't want to invest in another style for just this one caliber?

If he doesn't have the Lee trimmer you want he can find out for sure if Lee makes it and if they do, he can order it for you. Here is a link to John's Web site.

I use an L.E. Wilson case trimmer for my .204 Ruger case trimming requirments. If you go that route, John can take care of you there too.

jkelly295 if you have access to a lathe or an O.D. Grinder. I took a Lee Trim tool for a 22/250 case and turned the pilot down to .202 dia.( slip fit to a sized .204 case ) and ground .072thousands off the end to trim the .204 case to 1.840 O.A.L..Be careful not to go smaller then .201 dia. The hole in my cutter is .195 dia. and mine works great. Good luck.Jerry

Thanks Goingbroke,

I didn't have a lathe so I got a 22-250 length gauge and wrapped tape around the threads. I then chucked that end in a drill and made a small hole in a 2x4 on my bench to stick the small end of the length guage in so that both ends would be supported and spin freely. I then spun the guage in the drill and used a file to remove metal. Once I got it down to .202 I polished the guage with 400 grit paper and then 0000 steel wool. All that was left was to grind a little off the end of the guage to limit trim length to 1.840.

Hope this helps others and make sure not to chuck the thread end too tight as even with tape it will bugger the threads.

It has to be .22 cal or larger for them to custom make it. I imagine they are in the works with a .204 trimmer but when I checked with them they did not have one available.
