<DEATHMERCHANT308>Load information for the 8mm mauser?
I realize you can purchase 8mm ammunition at very low prices. However I would like to load for the caliber. What are some of your favorite loads? I have a German 98k and a turk Mauser I will be shooting. I have several reloading manuals to use as a guide. I was just curious what some of your "pet loads" would be.
Good SHootin,

<PowderBurns>I'm getting 6" groups at 200 yds with a K. Kale 1945 Turk and 1944 steel jacket Turk ammo. I'd be tighter except I can't see the target with iron sights at that distance.
Hodgdon Data Manual offers some specs. M.D. Smith has some load data too:

I've never loaded this caliber. Surplus ammo is too cheap. Although I'm thinking about putting a Redfield scope on this gun . . .

<Mark>I've used the max loads for IMR4064 and 4350 from the nosler manual and 200 grn partitions. They grouped about close to two inches. Using the speer 200 sp shot quite a bit lower with the same powder loading.
I also have some loads from vihtavouri for their 550 powder and 200grn bullets if you want, though I haven't loaded it.
I am about to try ballistic tips with 4350.
