reloading of unknown brass
O.K I came across some 35 whelen brass (60)that started out life as 30.06 as it is headstamped.
I have no idea how many times it has been fired. I cleaned some up and can see no ill signs. I sized a few thru my 35 whelen dies and am going to check for casehead ring with the inside scratch method. If the primer feels good while seating would you guys load some up? Thanks Mike

Maybe you should anneal it first, then load up a few that are not too far toward the maximum allowable charges...

Rather than fumbling around with a bent pin, if I had any questions about case stretching, I'd just saw a case in half lengthwise.

If the stuff looks good and the primer pockets are tight, I load it up and shoot it.
