You have the perfect components to make a 22-250 shoot. H380 was actually named that because Bruce Hodgdon used 38.0 grains of it behind a 55 grain bullet in his 22-250 wildcat way back when. H-380 can vary a fair amount from lot to lot, so, with 55 grain bullets I'd start around 36 grains or so and go from there. I've gotten as high as 41 grains of some lots of H380 in 22-250/55 grain bullet. When your velocity gets to around 3750 or so (24" barrel), it's probably time to ease off.

If you've got some H4895 lying around, try some of that (34 grains to start), too.

I agree that H-380 should treat you good. My Nosler No. 4 manual list 35.5 gr. as max. On the powder canister itself it list 41.0 grs. Start lower and work up. An older lot shot great with 35.5 gr., but I haven't found the best amount with my current lot. The only advantage 380 will have over 4895 is that it really meters well.
